Monday was the first taste of seeing the Cleveland Browns in pads. Even though these guys have been playing football for a decade plus, it’s still a major change for players and a much better time to start judging the play of players.
While we have no definitive answer, it does appear that Kevin Stefanski wants to avoid throwing a rookie on the field at quarterback in week one. Kenny Pickett was the early leader in first-team reps, and now that he is dealing with a hamstring injury, Stefanski shared that Joe Flacco would pick up the first-team reps.

However, on day one in pads and day one of Pickett not at practice, Shedeur Sanders was the shining star, going 9 for 9 with two touchdowns in team drills. Stefanski has continued to say that the depth chart is week to week right now, so we will see if there are any changes next Monday if his performance continues.
