Myles Garrett is already in his ninth NFL season, and somehow, he just keeps getting better.

With five games left, the Browns star has blown past his previous career-high of 16 sacks — a mark he reached in both 2021 and 2022. He hit that number in just 11 games this year and now sits at 19 sacks, with history firmly in his sights.

Up next is a dream matchup. Cleveland hosts a struggling Tennessee Titans team in Week 14, and no offensive line has surrendered more sacks this season than Tennessee’s. That sets the stage for Garrett, who has recorded multiple sacks in five of the Browns’ 12 games so far.

Garrett anchors a Cleveland defense that ranks first in the NFL in both pass-rush and run-stop win rates, per ESPN. A big performance on Sunday wouldn’t just help the Browns — it could put Garrett one step closer to rewriting the record books.

The NFL single-season sack record stands at 22.5, shared by T.J. Watt (2021) and Michael Strahan (2001). Garrett needs just 3.5 more sacks to match it. At his current pace, he could get there by averaging fewer than one sack per game the rest of the way.

Tennessee is allowing about four sacks per game this season, and similar pressure from Houston’s pass rush led to six sacks against the Titans in two matchups. If Garrett delivers another special performance, breaking the sack record sooner rather than later is very much on the table.

For the four-time All-Pro, Sunday in Cleveland has all the makings of another unforgettable chapter in a dominant season.
