Myles Garrett record-breaking sack video: How Browns superstar broke single-season mark image

We have a new single-season sacks king and it is none other than Cleveland Browns superstar edge rusher Myles Garrett.

Entering Week 18, Garrett was just one half of a sack shy of tying the record, which was held by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt, both of whom tallied 22.5.

Strahan initially broke the record with the New York Giants in 2001, and Watt tied that record with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021.

Garrett secured a full sack to surpass both Watt and Strahan against the Cincinnati Bengals when he took down quarterback Joe Burrow in the fourth quarter.

Here's video of the record-breaking sack, which was Garrett's 23rd of the season:

With that sack, Garrett also moved into a tie for 20th on the all-time sacks leaders list, matching the 125.5 Indianapolis Colts great Dwight Freeney tallied during his career.

Garrett still has a long way to go to reach Buffalo Bills legend Bruce Smith's 200 career sacks, which is tops in NFL history.

But if he can continue playing at or close to an elite level for another handful of years, it's not crazy to think he can eventually get there.
