'I'll be damned': Myles Garrett reacts to the idea of Browns tanking image

It was a bitter sweet Sunday for Myles Garrett.

On the one hand, his Browns did play spoiler in stuffing the Steelers division clinching hopes. However, the 13-6 upset didn't produce the one sack he needed to set the single season sack record. It also was only Cleveland's fourth victory of the season.

Garrett's known plenty of losing since being drafted first overall in 2017. A winless campaign, 1-and-31 over two years, and enduring just three wins in 2024. Anytime a franchise produces as poorly as the Browns have, the dreaded "tanking" word comes up.

In the post-game media scrum Sunday, Garrett was asked about intentional losing and the upcoming NFL Draft.

Garrett made it crystal clear his thoughts on tanking:

"No one signed to lose. No one signed up to lose at all. So I don't care what the situation is with the record."

At the peak of his prime, and more dominant than ever, the pass-rushing phenom is always going to deliver a full effort:

“I’ll be damned if I’m just going to go out there and lay down for another team just because we want some draft picks. That’s just not me.”

Now sitting at 4-12, the Browns are just good enough to be knocked out of the top two spots in April's NFL Draft.

No matter where the team ends up in the draft order, Garrett will remain as motivated as ever to end this disappointing season with a "W" next weekend in Cincinnati.
