The Cleveland Browns were thrown a bit of a curveball this week after tight end Harold Fannin Jr. Popped up on the injury report on Thursday.
Fannin is dealing with a hamstring issue that made him a Thursday addition to the injury report. After not practicing that day, Fannin managed to turn in a limited practice on Friday before getting the questionable tag.
With Fannin's status up in the air for the Week 10 game against the New York Jets, here's what we know about his chances of suiting up.
Is Harold Fannin Jr. Playing today?
UPDATE: Fannin Jr. Is officially ACTIVE on Sunday.
Fannin Jr. Is "trending towards playing" in Week 10 despite the questionable tag, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
"Browns up-and-coming TE Harold Fannin, dealing with a hamstring, is trending towards playing, source said. He's listed as questionable," Rapoport report.
Harold Fannin Jr. Start or sit advice
Fannin Jr. Enters this week ranked as TE13 overall in terms of fantasy points per game, and he's TE10 overall in the same category since Week 5, which puts the Browns rookie on the TE2 radar each and every week.
We were hoping the Browns would trade David Njoku at the deadline to clear the path fully for Fannin, but that didn't happen. Even still, Fannin has proven he can be productive with Njoku in the lineup, so he remains a starting option.
Cleveland's Week 10 opponent, the Jets, are giving up the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position, making Fannin an even more attractive start.
Verdict: Start
