Harold Fannin Jr. injury update is bad news for Browns, fantasy football lineups image

Harold Fannin Jr. Has been a huge contributor to the Cleveland Browns this season.

The rookie tight end has also proven to be a brilliant early-season waiver wire addition to fantasy football players, many of whom are probably hoping Fannin can deliver them a championship in Week 17.

But on Friday, some tough news came out.

Fannin was a new addition to the Cleveland injury report. He's listed with a groin injury.

Given that Fannin wasn't on the report on Wednesday or Thursday, this is a new injury.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the injury happened in practice on Friday.

Last week, Fannin set the Browns' single-season rookie record for receptions.

This week, he might miss out on the matchup with the Steelers due to this late injury news.

The Browns have already ruled David Njoku out, so it could get very dicey at tight end.

Blake Whiteheart and Brenden Bates are the other two Cleveland tight ends, with Whiteheart more of a pass catcher.

This will be one to monitor for more news into the weekend, for sure.
