"Don't pick me."

That was the message sent to the Baltimore Ravens from Shedeur Sanders' camp during the NFL Draft, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Now, Sanders could face an awkward situation if John Harbaugh becomes the Cleveland Browns' next head coach.

Following the Ravens' stunning decision to fire Harbaugh after 18 seasons, there are reports that the Browns have moved aggressively to make him their next head coach. A $100-million "offer he can't refuse," just as Jon Gruden received from the Las Vegas Raiders, is the type of big swing owner Jimmy Haslam is known for.

On paper, it’s a home run for a franchise seeking stability. But for Sanders, it might be a career-defining crisis.

The tension stems from a shocking revelation during the 2025 NFL Draft. Reports at the time indicated that Harbaugh and the Ravens were prepared to select Sanders with the No. 141 pick.

However, Sanders’ representation allegedly sent a clear message to Baltimore: "Don't pick me."

Sanders reportedly didn't want to spend his prime sitting behind Lamar Jackson with no chance to play. He got his wish when the Ravens pivoted, allowing him to fall three picks later to the Browns at 144th overall. Perhaps Harbaugh still has feelings about that nearly a year later.

Now, in a twist of fate, the coach Sanders "vetoed" could become his new boss.

If Harbaugh lands in Cleveland, will have to answer to the man he publicly snubbed--making this not just an awkward reunion, but potentially Sanders worst professional nightmare.
