Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders shared a heartfelt moment with his father, Deion, before his first career NFL start on Sunday.
The Browns posted a video to their official X account of Sanders walking through the tunnel, and being greeted by his father. The two embraced momentarily, then Sanders addressed the team before taking the field for his first NFL start.
The father and son duo were standout stars at the University of Colorado during Sanders’ collegiate days. Now in the NFL, the spotlight looms even larger.
Sanders appeared in the 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 16, completing just 4 of his 16 pass attempts, and throwing one interception. The former Colorado star was drafted in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Browns, and has been in a quarterback battle with Dillon Gabriel, and Joe Flacco for the majority of the season.
