The Cleveland Browns have made yet another major trade. After trading quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, the Browns have made a massive trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, sending cornerback Greg Newsome to Jacksonville in exchange for cornerback Tyson Campbell. The Browns are also sending a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Jaguars, while the Jaguars are sending a seventh-round pick to Cleveland.
"[The] Jaguars signed CB Tyson Campbell to four-year, $76.5 million extension that included $53.4 million guaranteed in July 2024," Adam Schefter posted on X. "Now Campbell is headed to Cleveland. Newsome, the 26th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, now is in the last year of his contract that pays him $13.38 million."
Campbell was just part of the Jaguars' huge win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. He was drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The Browns drafted Newsome in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
