Browns' Shedeur Sanders remains poised to improve in season's final stretch image

In his third start in the NFL, Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, continues to improve with every snap he gets.

Despite the 31-29 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, Sanders logged the best game of his short career. He completed 23 of 42 pass attempts for 364 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception while adding another 29 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Although the 2025 fifth-round pick is showing that he's capable of providing success for an NFL franchise, the Browns' quarterback situation is still wide open. Deshaun Watson, Dillon Gabriel, and himself all remain on the roster.

Shedeur Sanders stays determined to improve his game

"Sometimes you get in situations where you just have to understand the play is over, and I’m improving in that," Sanders told The Athletic's Zac Jackson. "I had a little slipup last week, for sure, just knowing that the play is over. I want to win so bad. I want to make something happen whenever we’re stagnant and stuff like that."

Sanders also mentioned that he's thankful for the opportunity Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has given, naming the 23-year-old the starter for the remainder of the 2025 season, but remains "not content" with the situation he is in.

Nobody is counting out the University of Colorado (Boulder) standout. There's no saying that Cleveland will continue to put the ball in his hands for seasons to come if the final four games of the 2025 regular season are productive.

In his first three starts of his career, Sanders has completed 57.5% of his passes, 722 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Time will tell, and the sky is the limit for Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
