Shedeur Sanders nearly led the Cleveland Browns to a massive update.
No one was giving the Browns any chance to upset the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. But Sanders had a very similar game to Josh Allen.
The reigning MVP Allen was relatively quiet, to be fair, but it's still a fascinating comparison.
Here's how Allen and Sanders compared in various analytical QB stats:

Sanders had a bit of an odd day.
At one point, he exited the game with a big laceration on his right pinky finger, and so he had to wear a bandage on his throwing hand the rest of the game.
He also ran more than he ever had so far in his NFL career.
And in the end, the Browns had a real chance to win the football game. They didn't do it, but there are reasons to be encouraged by what Shedeur did out there.
