Deshaun Watson might return for the Cleveland Browns sometime during the 2025–26 season, although that still seems unlikely to most.

It remains uncertain what the Browns want to do on that front, but his practice window has officially been opened, and he even traveled with the team to an away game.

For Shedeur Sanders and the Browns overall, that obviously adds a twist to some of the plans.

Some have suggested that Sanders will get the remainder of the year as the starter, while others are unsure how exactly things will play out.

Regardless of what unfolds, it sounds like Sanders is ready for anything, and he doesn’t have anything but love for Watson.

He believes it’s great that Watson is back at practice and enjoys being around him.

“I feel like it’s great he’s going out there to practice,” Sanders said, per the Browns. “I know he’s been working hard to recover and doing everything he’s able to do for this day.”

Watson hasn’t played the type of football that was expected of him since joining the Browns.

If he had, this likely wouldn’t even be a conversation, and Sanders probably wouldn’t be on the roster.

Sanders still has a lot to prove over however many starts he gets the rest of the way, so if he wants to keep this job, he’ll have to prove he's ready.
