Harold Fannin Jr. Was added to the Cleveland Browns' injury report on Friday.
But soon after that happened, the star rookie tight end told reporters he planned to play on Sunday.
That doesn't add up with what happened Saturday. That's when the Browns elevated TE Sal Canella from the practice squad.
Cleveland wouldn't have had to elevate a tight end if there was no concern about Fannin's status.
David Njoku has already been ruled out, but the Browns do have Blake Whiteheart and Brenden Bates available.

Canella's call-up seems directly tied to Fannin, since the Browns don't usually have four TEs active on game days.
This is a situation that is likely going to come down to Sunday's inactive report, which will come out about 90 minutes before the scheduled 1 p.m. Kickoff between the Browns and Steelers.
Fannin has already set the Browns' single-season rookie record for receptions. He's as important an offensive player as they have now that Quinshon Judkins is out.
But it looks like it'll be a last-minute decision as to whether Fannin takes the field on Sunday or not.
