The Cleveland Browns fired head coach Kevin Stefanski and are searching for their new head coach, with plenty of names emerging as options in the second round of interviews.

Jim Schwartz, Mike McDaniel, and Todd Monken are all big names that fans have likely heard before. But, for Shedeur Sanders, the best hire might not be any of those coaches.

Instead, the QB guru with the Jacksonville Jaguars would be the best option for Sanders. And according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns are requesting to interview the Jaguars coach, offensive coordinator Grant Udinski, for their head coaching job.

Browns to interview Jaguars OC who'd be great hire for Shedeur Sanders

"Browns have now requested a second head coaching interview with Jaguars OC Grant Udinski - this time in person, per sources," Schefter reports. "Udiniski would become the youngest NFL head coach ever hired if he lands the job, at just 30 years old."

Udinski would be an incredible hire for the Browns, even though he's not had much experience at just 30 years old.

The reason is clear: he seemingly gets the most out of his quarterbacks. In 2025, he helped turn Trevor Lawrence into the franchise quarterback Jaguars fans were hoping for.

Lawrence was great, especially in the second half of the year, as he helped lead the Jaguars to the playoffs and the AFC South win.

But that's not the only quarterback he's helped turn around. In 2024, Udinski was with the Minnesota Vikings as the quarterbacks coach. He helped Sam Darnold break out into the quarterback he is now with the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game.

While there are likely other factors at play, it's undeniable that the last two stops for Udinski have seen him help make two quarterbacks who've faced questions turn things around.

Sanders does have some aspects of his game he needs to fix, like turnovers, his inaccuracies, and sack struggles.

But, there's also potential in his game, and with a coach like Udinski, who's turned into a QB guru with how great Darnold and Lawrence have looked the last few seasons, it's hard not to see potential in the 30-year-old Jaguars OC coming to Cleveland.

There would be a lot of risk with this potential hire, but Udinski could be a great option for Sanders and the Browns if his magic with the quarterback position is carried over to Cleveland.
