The Cleveland Browns will have a tough decision to make during the upcoming NFL Draft, as there are several directions the organization can take.
On the surface, it wouldn’t be the worst idea for the Browns to add another quarterback if they believe a player they love will be available when they’re on the clock.
On the flip side, Shedeur Sanders has shown at times during his short NFL stint that he can be a competent quarterback at this level.
It will obviously take a lot more for Sanders to become the player he wants to be, but perhaps he isn’t as bad as some think.
In the event that the Browns want to continue playing him, there are other factors to consider that could push them toward selecting a wide receiver in the first round.
The latest to suggest that was Bleacher Nation’s Matt Rooney, who predicted the Browns would select Jordyn Tyson, a wide receiver out of Arizona State.
“I have no idea yet if Cleveland likes Shedeur Sanders enough to keep him around for another year, but they’ve given him the rest of this season, and the 2027 QB class is stacked,” he wrote.
“Would they take the third QB off the board, or go with a piece that they know can really help them?”
Tyson is widely regarded as the top wide receiver in this upcoming draft class, as he’s proven plenty during his time at Arizona State.
Even if the Browns don’t love Sanders and want to move on from him in the foreseeable future, there’s still reason to believe this type of pick would make sense, as whatever quarterback they have will need someone to throw the football to.
Tyson has posted 711 yards for Arizona State this season.
