Just when you thought the Browns quarterback room couldn't get any more crowded, a fresh set of mock drafts pop up with one possibility that would totally alter the first round.
Cleveland owns the sixth overall pick and an extra first-rounder courtesy of Jacksonville at No. 24. GM Andrew Berry is facing a franchise-defining crossroads this April.
This week’s mocks are split between playing it safe and creating chaos. Everything from much-needed offensive line help and a blue-chip wide receiver, to what would be a bombshell...taking Alabama QB Ty Simpson to join a depth chart already headlined by Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders.

Let's take a look at what the Browns may do in this upcoming NFL Draft in these three different mocks:
6th Overall Pick
Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State (6'2", 200-lbs)
The Browns need to stop messing around at wide receiver and give either Shedeur Sanders or a different starting quarterback a true go-to all over the field, both in the slot and outside, in Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba's vein, only lacking the hyphen. (AllSportsPeople)
- Spencer Fano, OL, Utah (6'6", 302-lbs)
The Browns allowed pressure on a league-high 46.5 percent of their dropbacks, four percent higher than the second-worst Chargers, who were missing their starting tackles most of the season. Four different linemen who played at least 69 percent of the team's snaps are set for free agency.
Fano gets the nod thanks to his absurd power and athleticism. That athleticism boosts his recovery when beaten, which will be an asset when squaring up with rookie mistakes and elite edge rushers. (USA Today)
- Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama (6'2", 208-lbs)
Shedeur Sanders played admirably down the stretch, but the Cleveland Browns could still be in the market for a quarterback. Simpson struggled late at Alabama, but his first handful of performances highlighted a potential franchise signal-caller who diagnoses pre-snap reads at a high level. (The Draft Network)
24th Overall Pick (from Jaguars)
Kaydn Proetor, OT, Alabama (6'7", 366-lbs)
The Browns, should they go wide receiver early to fill one big offensive need, would need to come back and address their blocking issues with age and injury-related reboot needed up front. Proctor can be drafted most to provide a major run-blocking upgrade and his frame gives him the upside to grow into a steadier pass protector. (AllSportsPeople)
- Denzel Boston, WR, Washington (6'4", 209-lbs)
The 6-foot-4 Boston is a bail out machine on jump balls, but his biggest strength comes breaking off defenders in the mid-range. That would make him kind of a super-sized Kayshon Boutte. We've seen how nicely Drake Maye has leaned on Boutte en route to an All-Pro second season, correct? (USA Today)
- Makai Lemon, WR, USC (5'11", 195-lbs)
The Browns grabbed their quarterback earlier, and now they get Simpson a go-to target in Makai Lemon. Lemon should get drafted higher than this, but some teams may scout him as a slot-only receiver, potentially impacting his stock. He gives off Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba vibes.
