Browns let rookie QB Shedeur Sanders cook — literally image

Russell Wilson may have been the first quarterback who earned the phrase, "Let him cook."

Now, it's a synonymous phrase across sports, imploring a team or teammates to let a particular guy shine.

There are many who wonder if Shedeur Sanders, the hyped fifth-round rookie QB for the Browns, will ever get to cook on an NFL gridiron.

But now we've seen Sanders cook, literally.

The Browns host a "Rooks to Cooks" event every year, where their rookies learn to prepare meals. The media gets to be present, and so that meant plenty of videos of Sanders working on food.

That's a pretty awesome opportunity for the Browns to provide.

It also creates quite the content in what otherwise is a dull part of the NFL calendar.

The Browns rookies have seemed to embrace one another in the early going, including using Sanders' classic celebration for various occasions.

It'll be a few months before Sanders can cook on the gridiron, but he at least checked off this surprise NFL box for cooking.
