Browns insider believes Kevin Stefanski deserves another year in Cleveland image

Amid a 3-9 season, nothing is set in stone for the Cleveland Browns as they enter the final stretch of 2025.

After another disastrous year, could Kevin Stefanski finally be on the chopping block? It's possible, but given he's survived for so long as the Browns head coach, would this season really be the final straw?

One insider doesn't seem to think so, and actually believes Stefanski deserves another chance at head coach with better quarterback play.

Mary Kay Cabot says Browns should give Kevin Stefanski another year

On 92.3 The Fan, Cleveland.com's Browns reporter Mary Kay Cabot said that she believes Stefanski should get another shot in 2026.

"It's very, very hard to win with rookie quarterbacks. And I think that Kevin has suffered from the quarterback situation this year, which didn't go the way anybody expected it to go. This was supposed to be Kenny Pickett starting the season, then moving into Dillon Gabriel and maybe, maybe then starting Shedeur Sanders for some games at the end of the season," Cabot told the Baskin and Phelps show.

"And I do think that Kevin deserves another chance to come back and work with a quarterback that can really win a bunch of games for this team, whether it be Shedeur or somebody that they draft or a veteran or whoever. So I do think that maintaining the status quo would be prudent, but you know, these things do have a tendency to take on a life of their own."

Sure, the Browns haven't gotten the best quarterback play this season, but does that excuse Cleveland's 3-14 record in 2024?

After six years, it may just be time for a fresh face at the head of the organization, despite the early success Stefanski had.

The decision on Stefanski isn't likely to come until the season's end, unless the Browns spiral out of control even further.
