All eyes were on Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Friday night, as he was named the starting quarterback for the team's preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers. Whether people were watching in hopes that he would have a terrific outing, or watching with ill intentions hoping he'd fail. Luckily for Browns fans, the rookie had a terrific performance.

Sanders went 14-of-23 with two touchdown passes against the Panthers, which got plenty of fans excited for what could come in the near and distant future. However, head coach Kevin Stefanski still isn't diving in head first.

Speaking to the media after the Browns' win, Stefanski was asked if Sanders would get more second or first-team reps after his performance.

"I'm pleased with the way Shedeur played," Stefanksi said. "Pleased with the way the offense operated tonight. All things moving forward as we continue practice will be focused on all of our guy's development and getting these guys ready to play."

While this can be spun one way or the other as coach talk, it sounded as if Stefanski was doing his best to dance around the question. We'll know soon enough if Sanders gets those more valuable reps or not.
