His status for Week 17 was questionable, and the Browns were hoping to get a better idea of where he stands this weekend. Browns fans and fantasy managers who have Fannin were, expectedly, in a panic.

Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. Reveals great injury update for Week 17

"Fannin just told reporters that he plans to play Sunday," Jackson reported.

Compared to the initial fear, sparked by a late-week practice injury, this is a sigh of relief for everyone involved.

The Browns no longer have to rely upon a cast of backups, and Fannin is set to play, while Shedeur Sanders will have his favorite receiver in Week 17.

With a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, this update is a huge one. While their season is all but over, the Browns are hoping to get a good look at their young core heading into the future.

Seeing how Sanders manages the Steelers defense would've been tough to figure out if Fannin were to be out. While it's not confirmed if Fannin is playing, this update from Fannin is a very likely indicator that he's suiting up this week.

This season, Fannin has 70 receptions for 701 yards and five touchdowns. It's been a remarkable rookie season for the 21-year-old tight end, and he should be a mainstay of the roster for years to come.

While this injury was a real concern, this update is cause for relief among Browns fans, fantasy managers, and Sanders. Fannin plans to play in Week 17, despite a late-week practice injury.
