Harold Fannin Jr. has a lot going for him.
The Cleveland Browns' rookie tight end from Bowling Green State University is a local product, for starters. He was a star at nearby Canton McKinley High School.
He's also a great athlete who put up crazy numbers at BGSU in college.
That all combined to make him a third-round pick in April's NFL Draft.
He's not necessarily going to start right away, because Cleveland still has David Njoku. But he'll get a lot of action in two-TE sets, and he's definitely the tight end of the future for the Browns.

Harold Fannin Jr.'s college stats at BGSU
Fannin was a monster for the Falcons in the MAC.
He caught 117 passes for 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns in his final season at Bowling Green.
Those were both records in an FBS season by a tight end.
What is Harold Fannin's 40 time?
Harold Fannin Jr. ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 4.71 seconds.
He also had a 34-inch vertical leap, a 9-10 broad jump and did 22 reps of the bench press.

Cleveland Browns TE depth chart
Once the regular season gets here and everyone is on the field, the Cleveland Browns' tight end depth chart will look like this:
- David Njoku
- Harold Fannin Jr.
- Blake Whiteheart
And given the lack of a deep receiving corps, Cleveland will likely play plenty of 12 formations with both Njoku and Fannin on the field.
