The Cleveland Browns have another quarterback. Of course they do.

An offseason filled with new QB faces on the shores of Lake Erie got another one on Wednesday afternoon.

The quarterback? Bailey Zappe.

He signed with the Browns with a likely destination of the practice squad, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Zappe joins a QB room that includes a healthy Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders along with an injured Deshaun Watson.

This isn't the first time in Cleveland for Zappe. He actually started the most recent Browns regular season game. In Week 18 of 2024, Zappe went 16-for-31 for 170 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

He originally entered the NFL in 2022 as a fourth-round pick of the New England Patriots after a college career split between Houston Christian and Western Kentucky.

He played in 14 games in his career with the Pats, including eight starts. In those eight starts, Zappe was 4-4 with a 63.2% completion percentage and 11 touchdowns compared to 12 interceptions.

He spent this summer with the Kansas City Chiefs but didn't make the roster behind Patrick Mahomes.

At 26 years old, Zappe takes the spot of Kenny Pickett, who the Browns traded to the Raiders earlier this week.

Zappe is likely just a familiar face who can help run the practice squad and nothing more, but it's fitting that the room that has been so crowded all offseason couldn't stay less crowded for long.
