The Cleveland Browns have altered their WR depth chart heading into Week 15's clash with the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The news came Saturday: The Browns have waived wide receiver Jamari Thrash.
Thrash was a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Louisville (after beginning his college career at Georgia State).
The 6-foot wideout was given occasional chances but never major ones.
As a rookie, Thrash got into nine games. He caught 3-of-7 targets for 22 yards.

This season, Thrash had gotten into another nine games. He had 10 catches (15 targets) for 107 yards.
If Thrash passes through waivers, he could wind up on the Browns' practice squad.
It doesn't seem like at this point in the campaign that Thrash has shown enough to be claimed by someone else.

Thrash became expendable in part because the Browns have begun to rely on undrafted rookie Gage Larvadain in certain situations. Cleveland also acquired Malachi Corley midway through the season, and he has taken occasional WR snaps, as well.
The Browns' top-three WRs are Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman and Isaiah Bond.
Cleveland won't be going to the playoffs this season, but they'll keep moving the roster around in the closing weeks to see what talent they can identify for the future.
