Browns announce season-long Shedeur Sanders decision after record setting Titans game image

The Cleveland Browns lost to the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, but amid the loss, Shedeur Sanders played his best game in the NFL.

It was the best performance by a rookie quarterback this season and was better than any game played by a quarterback for the Browns in recent history.

As Underdog NFL shared on Twitter/X, the Browns, in the wake of this impressive performance, have made a big decision to keep Sanders as the starter for the rest of the year.

Browns commit to Shedeur Sanders as starter for rest of season

Cleveland is sticking with Sanders for the final four weeks of the season, as the Browns plan to start the fifth-round rookie over Dillon Gabriel for the remainder of the season.

It's a very well-earned honor for Sanders. He's been playing incredibly well as of late, but most importantly, he was very impressive in Week 14 against the Titans.

Facing Cam Ward, the player selected 143 picks before Sanders was picked, the Browns' rookie quarterback put on a show.

He threw for 364 yards on 23-of-42 passing to go with three touchdowns and one interception. Sanders also added 29 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown for a very impressive performance in just his third NFL start.

Sanders is now up to 769 yards and five touchdowns passing this season, and will get to close out the year for the Browns as their starter.

His next matchups will come against the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals. It's a good mix of strong and weak defenses, all of which are fighting for playoff spots.

Sanders and the Browns can play spoiler, as Cleveland has finally committed to Sanders to be the team's starting quarterback for the remainder of the regular season.
