The Cleveland Browns will end their season on Sunday against their in-state rival Cincinnati Bengals, who themselves will also miss the postseason. Ahead of the matchup though, Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow was asked about Shedeur Sanders, to which he was very complimentary.

“I really enjoyed watching him in college," Burrow said via Dawg Pound Daily. "I thought he made a lot of plays. I thought he could throw it. Then, obviously, given who his dad is, he knows how to handle the media, knows how to handle the spotlight. He’s certainly been under the microscope more than any other fifth-round pick has ever been in the history of football. Every clip that I see, he seems to be handling it well. Says most of the right things in the media. He’s who he is, he’s himself. That’s what you want out of a football player. So he seems to be handling it the right way.”

Burrow knows a thing or two about being under a microscope. His Bengals have been under a lot of pressure of their own, as they will finish their third straight season without a playoff berth,. Burrow is under immense pressure to put the franchise on his back for them to have any hope of being a winner, and even in a season when he threw for nearly 5,000 yards and 43 touchdowns, Cincinnati couldn't make the playoffs. Now, Bengals fans are hoping to see major changes to the coaching staff and front office before 2026.

The Browns will likely make their own changes, as it feels very likely that Kevin Stefanski could be on his way out after consecutive seasons of five or fewer wins. What that means for Sanders is yet to be determined, but it looks very likely that the Browns will draft a quarterback.
