The Cincinnati Bengals are eliminated from playoff contention, but they still have three more weeks to go and are playing for pride to close out the year.

Their first matchup post-elimination is the Miami Dolphins, who were also just eliminated. While the Dolphins switched their QB to Quinn Ewers, the Bengals are sticking with Joe Burrow.

Coming into this matchup, the status of wide receiver Tee Higgins, dealing with a concussion, was questionable. However, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Bengals got some good news on Higgins for Week 16.

"Bengals WR Tee Higgins (questionable, concussion) is good to go for today vs. Dolphins, per source," Fowler reports.

Fowler also shared that the team was hopeful Higgins would play this weekend against the Dolphins, but, coming off a second concussion this season, the team wanted to make sure he was good to go.

Higgins will suit up for the Bengals in Week 16 despite their season being all but over. There might be some debate over whether the Bengals should actually play Higgins, risking further injury.

But the 26-year-old wide receiver likely wants to play, and while there's not much to play for, pride is on the line for the Bengals as the season comes to a close.

A strong finish to the year could help make the transition into the 2026 season smoother, and Higgins's playing this weekend could be a good way to provide a spark to the offense.

He has 46 receptions for 667 yards and nine touchdowns this season. He's a fantastic option for Burrow in the offense alongside Ja'Marr Chase, and is reportedly good to go for Sunday's Week 16 matchup against the Dolphins in Miami.
