Things are not looking good for wide receiver Tee Higgins when it comes to his chances of suiting up for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15.

Higgins, who is in the concussion protocol once again this week, appeared to be going in the right direction to be cleared after turning in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday.

However, on Friday, Higgins was not spotted at practice when the Bengals took the field in the morning, according to ESPN's Ben Baby.

"Bengals WR Tee Higgins (concussion) not at Friday’s practice. Has been limited this week as he works through concussion protocol," Baby reported.

Of course, Higgins' lack of participation on Friday is a downgrade from Wednesday and Thursday and is a clear sign he is likely to sit out in Week 15.

Adding to that, Baby notes that Higgins left practice early on Thursday, although he didn't know what exactly was the cause and if Higgins actually returned.

"This would track since he left practice early yesterday. Wasn’t sure if he ended up returning," Baby added.

In order to pass through the concussion protocol, a player must turn in a full practice and then has to get cleared by an independent neurologist.

It certainly doesn't look like that's going to happen for Higgins, which means he's not going to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

That's not entirely surprising, though, as this is Higgins' second concussion in recent weeks. The veteran wide receiver didn't play in Week 13 because of a separate concussion.

This will be a tough blow for the Bengals, who need all hands on deck to try and save their incredibly slim playoff hopes.

Entering Week 15, Cincinnati has a 3% chance to win the division according to The New York Times Playoff Simulator, which is the Bengals' only viable path to the postseason.
