It looks as though Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins' absence won't last longer than one game.
Higgins was ruled out of the Week 13 contest after he suffered a concussion in Week 12. But Higgins showed a clear sign of progress on Wednesday, when he turned in a limited practice.
On Thursday, Higgins showed more progress, as he was able to turn in a full practice, which is another step forward in the concussion protocol.
But Higgins is not out of the protocol just yet, as ESPN's Ben Baby reported.
"Bengals WR Tee Higgins (concussion) was a full participant at today's practice," the Bengals reporter wrote. "Upgraded from limited on Wednesday. He remains in concussion protocol, but a good sign for playing on Sunday against the Bills."
It's surprising to see Higgins recovering this quickly. After all, he looked like he had suffered a severe concussion after Higgins had to be carted off the field in Week 12.
Nevertheless, Higgins now has a real chance to play. We'll know more on Friday when the Bengals drop their last injury report of the week.
At worst, we'd expect Higgins to draw a questionable tag, but he might be cleared entirely at the rate he's going.
