As the Cincinnati Bengals looked to start 2-0 on the season, facing the Jacksonville Jaguars, they had to deal with an unexpected blow.
Quarterback Joe Burrow left the game in the first half after getting sacked by his ankles. Burrow appeared to suffer an injury to his lower body on the play as he needed assistance getting off the field.

What is Joe Burrow's injury?
Joe Burrow suffered a toe injury in the first half of the Bengals game vs. the Jaguars in Week 2. The Bengals gave Burrow an MRI during the game, and the quarterback came out of the MRI room with his left leg on a scooter to avoid putting pressure on it.

How long is Joe Burrow out?
A turf toe injury will likely force Joe Burrow to miss several weeks of action. San Francisco 49ers' quarterback Brock Purdy, who also is dealing with turf toe, missed at least one week with the injury so far.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the injury could cost Burrow far more time than Purdy. If surgery is deemed necessary, Burrow could miss as many as three months, spanning most of the regular season. Burrow's test results are being sent to a foot specialist to determine whether surgery is necessary.
Surgery is considered the likeliest option, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who adds that Burrow's toe injury is "severe."
