The Cincinnati Bengals are 2-1 after a blowout 48-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The offensive line continues to be an issue for the Bengals, as made evident by Joe Burrow's injury in Week 2.
Because of this, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Reports suggests that Cincinnati trades for Jackson Powers-Johnson of the Las Vegas Raiders.
"The Raiders replaced Powers-Johnson at center with Jordan Meredith," Knox writes. "They also started Alex Cappa over Powers-Johnson at guard in Week 3, even though Powers-Johnson was healthy enough to return from a concussion. Powers-Johnson won the Remington Trophy in 2023 and has done nothing to suggest he can't be a quality starting center in the NFL. If the Raiders disagree, they should send him to a team with a need at center."
"A conditional fourth-round pick that can become a third-rounder based on playing time would probably be more valuable to the Raiders than the role they currently have for Powers-Johnson."
Powers-Johnson was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Oregon, and was the consensus top center in the class. Already being in the center of trade talks is certainly less than ideal.
