The Week 12 status of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow remains up in the air as we head to the weekend.
On Friday, head coach Zac Taylor said that no decision has been made on Burrow for Week 12, even though he practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday.
"Feel comfortable waiting as long as we can with this decision," Taylor told reporters, according to The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr.
Taylor added that Burrow has "done everything he can" to get himself ready to play but added the team is factoring in the Bengals playing two games in five days in the decision.
"He’s done everything he can. He looks great. You expect it to respond great when he’s out there and gets tackled, but you don’t know … and two games in five days, you have to account for that," Taylor said.
Taylor also noted that it's important the Bengals protect Burrow from himself, as the superstar quarterback is itching to get back on the field as soon as possible.
Bengals' deadline to activate Joe Burrow
With all that, it's Burrow will draw a questionable tag on the Friday injury report, which will be released later in the day.
From there, the Bengals have to activate him off IR to the 53-man roster, which can happen no later than 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport noted.
So, as of this writing, we'll have our answer on Burrow in a little over 24 hours.
Given the fact that he practiced in full this week, we would say Burrow has a better than 50/50 chance to return on Sunday.
The Bengals have extra motivation to get Burrow back this week, as the team's playoff hopes are on life support thanks to a 3-7 record.
According to the New York Times Playoff Simulator, Cincinnati has a less-than one-percent chance of making the postseason.
If Burrow doesn't come back in Week 12, Joe Flacco will take the reins of the offense for one more game.
