Trey Hendrickson spent much of the offseason and training camp searching for an extension and instead got a one-year raise. It was a compromise but was it enough to keep him with the Cincinnati Bengals? One analyst thinks he could be on the move.
Marcus Mosher of the Locked on Cowboys podcast recently suggested a potential trade that would send Hendrickson to the Cowboys for a draft pick in the wake of Joe Burrow's injury.

Cowboys receive

- 2nd round pick (2026)
Mosher also suggested that a new long-term extension could be included for Hendrickson in the trade.
It's a trade the Bengals would only consider if the plan was to let go of Hendrickson in the offseason. After inking Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to long-term extension, Cincinnati may not have enough money to lock up Hendrickson for the future.
The edge rusher received a $14 million raise in the offseason that puts him at $30 million in the final year of his contract.
Then when you consider Burrow's injury and how that could affect the Bengals' playoff hopes, this trade makes more sense for the team's future rather than the present.
"With the Bengals losing Joe Burrow for the season, or at least we think the season... I wonder if it would make sense for the Bengals to move (Hendrickson) now," Mosher said. "Let's say they get a second round pick they were asking for a first."

The Cowboys do have four first-round picks over the next two years and need more quality edge rushers. Could Cincinnati coax Jerry Jones into giving up a first for last year's sack leader?
It's a deal that's unlikely but could make sense for both sides under these circumstances.
