Brandon Aubrey has been a lethal weapon for the Dallas Cowboys since joining the team. Now it's time for him to get paid like one.
Since Aubrey's heroic performance against the Giants, there's been more attention surrounding his new contract. He's in the final season of a three-year, $2.69 million contract.
On Tuesday Jerry Jones was asked about his kicker's potential extension and he gave a cryptic but transparent answer.
"He certainly is coming. We'll be looking at that," Jones said. "Probably have had communications since the kick. But he's certainly in the future."
In typical Jerry fashion, this answers says a lot without saying anything at all. He wants to sign his All-Pro kicker but won't commit to a timeline.
The Cowboys have inked two massive deals since the season began with DaRon Bland and Tyler Smith. It's been relieving for Cowboys' fans after negotiations with Micah Parsons went sour.

Aubrey's new extension is likely to be record-setting just like his career-long 65 yard field goal.
Will Jerry Jones get this deal done quickly? Or will he play hard ball like he did with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Parsons? Only time will tell.
