The Cincinnati Bengals' offense was very close to getting back to its full potential in their Thanksgiving night win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13.

Franchise quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase returned to the lineup, with Burrow playing for the first time since Week 2 after a toe injury and Chase coming back from suspension.

Cincinnati was still shorthanded at receiver, as Tee Higgins was unable to suit up after sustaining a concussion in the Week 12 loss to the New England Patriots. A new update on the receiver came out as the team prepares for the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

Tee Higgins (concussion) returns to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday

According to SI.com's Jay Morrison, Tee Higgins was a limited participant at the Bengals' practice on Wednesday.

Although the receiver still needs to clear concussion protocol, the news shows that he's trending towards making his return from the head injury for Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Through 11 games this season, Higgins has 40 receptions on 70 targets, 575 yards, and a team-high seven touchdowns.

Cincinnati fans have seen the trio of Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins play in just two games together this season. If Higgins can return this week, the Bengals would be making the necessary steps in becoming a possible contender in a struggling AFC North division.

Despite being 4-8, the Bengals are just two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) and the Baltimore Ravens (6-6) for the top spot in the division. With four games remaining in the regular season, the task will be tough, but it's still possible.
