Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has a straightforward solution for Tee Higgins' slow start this season.
Chase, the team's star receiver, has registered 21 catches for 241 yards and one touchdown this season. Meanwhile, Higgins has seen a quieter start with seven catches for 104 yards and one touchdown.
On Friday, Chase did not hold back when addressing Higgins' lack of targets.
"I've always told him, if he wants the ball, go f**king ask for it," Chase told reporters.
Good advice for a struggling WR anywhere. To get more involved, Higgins has to push harder to earn those targets within the offense.
Ja'Marr Chase doubles down on his confidence in Jake Browning
After offering blunt advice to Tee Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase reaffirmed his confidence in Bengals quarterback Jake Browning.
"We believe in Jake (Browning)," he said.
Cincinnati's hopes of having a good or at least a decent season now rest on Browning's shoulders after Joe Burrow's injury.
He has completed 67.8% of his passes for 381 yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions so far this season.
