The Chicago Bears won't have the services of cornerback Kyler Gordon for the Week 14 game against the Green Bay Packers.
According to ESPN's Courtney Cronin, Gordon suffered a groin injury in pre-game warm-ups and will not play on Sunday. The severity of the injury is not know as of this writing.
"Per the Bears, Kyler Gordon suffered a groin injury in pre-game warmups and will not play in Green Bay," Cronin reported.
This is obviously a tough blow for the Bears' defense, as Gordon is the top slot cornerback.
Gordon has already missed significant time due to injury this season, so this is the last thing the Bears want to see. Gordon's previous injury was a hamstring, though, so this is not a re-aggravation.
Hopefully the injury isn't too serious and Gordon doesn't have to miss much, if any time. The Bears are currently in the thick of the playoff hunt, as they entered this week in first place in the NFC North.
We will likely get some semblance of an update from head coach Ben Johnson after the game.
