The Chicago Bears have used two kickers this season.

In Week 8, they're back to the original.

Cairo Santos regains his spot as the Bears' starting kicker. He takes over for Jake Moody, the former 49ers kicker who filled in for Santos.

It's a key role as the Bears take on the Baltimore Ravens and try to keep up with the challenging NFC North. Chicago can't afford a loss to a 1-5 team playing its third QB of the season.

Why did the Bears change kicker back to Cairo Santos from Jake Moody?

The Bears changed back to Santos because he got healthy.

Santos had been out with a thigh injury, but with a couple full practices under his belt leading in to Week 8, he's ready to reprise his usual role.

Moody kicked in two games with the Bears and was very good. He made 8-of-9 field goals and all three of his extra point attempts.

Santos is back after having kicked in the first four games of the season for Chicago before his thigh injury.

So far this season, Santos is 6-for-7 on field goals and 11-for-11 on extra points. His long so far is 52 yards, and he's 2-for-3 from 50-plus.
