Dominique Robinson got a close up during the first quarter of Sunday Night Football.
The NBC cameras showed Robinson looking frustrated after his Chicago Bears' defense gave up a rushing touchdown to Brock Purdy.
There was something that stood out about Robinson: his helmet.
It was a bit odd looking.
There's a good reason, though.

Why does Bears' 90 Dominique Robinson have a different helmet?
Robinson doesn't actually have a different helmet.
Instead, he has a covering over his regular helmet that's called a Guardian Cap.
It's a soft-shell covering designed to protect against head injuries.
Guardian Caps were first allowed to be worn on NFL practice fields in 2020.
The first time players could wear Guardian Caps in games was 2024.
Robinson had a concussion in November. This is his way of trying to prevent further damage after returning from injury.
