Rome Odunze has gotten healthy at the perfect time for the Chicago Bears.
Odunze missed five straight games due to a foot injury, which derailed what was setting up to be a breakout season for him.
But Odunze was able to return to practice this week, posting two limited practices and a full session before being completely removed from the injury report.
That said, Odunze is off to a quiet start in the wild-card game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. Here's what's up.
Is Rome Odunze playing tonight?
UPDATE: We're through an entire half of football and Odunze is still stuck on one target, which came on the team's very first drive.
Chicago's offense has been terrible on Saturday night and Caleb Williams has not been sharp, so it has been tough sledding for all of the Bears' pass-catchers.
END OF UPDATE
Yes, Odunze is healthy and active and has even received a target early on, but the pass wasn't catchable.
The Bears have a lot of mouths to feed on offense, so Odunze may not produce a ton, especially with this being his first game back.
But it shouldn't be long before he at least gets on the stat sheet.
