This week’s Sunday night football game featured two of the top teams in the NFC. The Detroit Lions (6-3) went into Philadelphia to take on the Eagles (7-2).
Both teams went into this game as leaders of the respective divisions, the Lions leading the North over the Bears, thanks to a tiebreaker, and the Eagles leading the East.
Over the course of the season, both teams have found individual success. The Chicago Bears have also had quite the season, climbing all the way to a now 7-3 record. Many fans have noticed a pattern with both the Bears and the Eagles this season.
It has fans of both organizations wondering, “Are we in an alliance?”.

The Bears and Eagles have been doing each other’s dirty work
The answer is yes, both teams and their fan bases are in an alliance, and it’s a strong one.
Each season, you play your divisional opponents twice each, and you’ll also play typically an entire other division within your conference as well. This season, the NFC East and NFC North got matched up.
Over the course of the season, as the Eagles beat the Bears' divisional opponents one by one, and the Bears likewise took out the NFC East one by one, fans realized both teams were doing the Lord's work.

Soon, an online alliance was formed, Bears rooting for the Eagles when necessary and vice versa.
The Bears completed their end of the bargain last week by defeating the New York Giants, and tonight, the Lions fulfilled their end. It brings a perfect ending and beautiful culmination to one of the greatest alliances the game has seen.
Don’t look now, but the Bears are leading the NFC North.
