The Chicago Bears, with Ben Johnson coming to the team as the head coach, took multiple offensive weapons in the first two rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. Luther Burden III has looked great and is a great pick.
But, in the first round, was taking Coleston Loveland over Tyler Warren at 10th overall the right decision? It was a close question during the draft, and it's still a close one now 17 weeks into the season.
For ESPN analyst Ben Solak, there's a winner here after 17 weeks, though just barely. Solak, amid handing out the 2nd-team All-Rookie tight end award, just barely sided with Loveland over Warren this season.
Why Coleston Loveland is better TE than Tyler Warren in 2025
"I had the Colts' Tyler Warren in this spot until Sunday night," Solak writes, "when Loveland posted a quality six-catch, 94-yard performance."
That Sunday Night game against the San Francisco 49ers was enough for Solak to give the edge to Loveland over Warren for the second-team rookie tight end spot.
Harold Fannin Jr. Of the Cleveland Browns is the first-team tight end, as he's been an incredible asset for the Browns this season, recording 72 receptions for 731 yards and six touchdowns.

Loveland, in comparison, has caught 48 passes for 622 yards and five touchdowns for the Bears this season. Warren has caught 71 passes for 791 yards and four touchdowns for the Indianapolis Colts in 2025.
While Warren has the better statistics this season, Solak is giving the honors to Loveland in part due to how the Colts quarterback situation has tanked lately, and Loveland has been ascending as of late.
Both are great weapons for their respective offenses, but as of now, Solak believes that Loveland is the better tight end, naming him above Warren for the second-team All-Rookie tight end spot this season.
