It has been a strong year for Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift.
Despite splitting work with rookie Kyle Monangai in the second half of the season, Swift has tallied 993 rushing yards going into Week 17 and is just 56 shy of tying his personal best.
However, Swift is off to a slow start in the Week 17 game against the San Francisco 49ers. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is D'Andre Swift playing tonight?
UPDATE: Swift received his first carry on the Bears' third drive. It went for eight yards.
UPDATE: Swift did not see the field on the Bears' second drive, as Chicago opted to go with Kyle Monangai instead. Frustrating, to say the least.
Yes, Swift is active and healthy, but he hasn't had much of a chance to get going.
The Bears have only had one offensive drive thus far and it went three-and-out. Swift didn't receive a carry and was targeted once but couldn't reel it in.
It shouldn't be long before Swift gets on the stat sheet, though.
