The Chicago Bears suffered another loss on the road on Sunday afternoon against the Detroit Lions by a final score of 52-21. With the loss for the Bears, they dropped to 0-2 on the season and the same problems for Chicago is arising once again.

Obviously, the team's problems run deeper than just quarterback Caleb Williams and head coach Ben Johnson. A lot of the issues with the Bears have to do with general manager Ryan Poles. He has not made good trades and has not made good draft picks either. Poles has been the Bears general manager since the 2022 season. What makes matters worse for Chicago is that Poles signed a three-year contract extension in July that runs through the 2029 NFL season.

Chicago Bears Fans Want Ryan Poles Fired After Another Horrifying Loss

With the Bears losing another game on Sunday against another NFC North opponent, fans are livid with the way Poles has constructed the roster. Chicago is already 0-2 against NFC North opponents this season and they are on the verge of having another last place finish in the division this season. If this is the case, it would be understandable for fans to call for Poles to be fired as general manager.

The bad news for Chicago fans is that the Bears are probably not going to fire Poles after giving him that contract extension. There is no doubt that he is going to get another offseason to work with Johnson, unless Johnson wants a different general manager in the building. Once again, the 2025 Bears are proving the same old Bears. Chicago is going to have to beat the Dallas Cowboys next week if they want to avoid an 0-3 start.

If they don't win, the calls for Poles to be fired will only grow louder by the fanbase. Also, they will question if drafting Williams was a mistake over Jayden Daniels as well.
