Chicago’s newly crowned prince was back in the spotlight just a day after the Bears’ season came to an end.
Quarterback Caleb Williams was spotted at the United Center on Monday night, taking in a Blackhawks game alongside Cubs All-Star center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. Despite the lingering sting of an overtime playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the crowd erupted when Williams appeared on the video board. The reaction only grew louder when Crow-Armstrong was shown sitting next to him in the front row.

Sunday night’s playoff game delivered the full “Caleb Williams experience.” Williams threw three interceptions, but not before producing a moment that will live on in Bears lore — a miraculous touchdown pass late in regulation that forced overtime.

After the game, Williams detailed what unfolded on the decisive play, explaining that retreating backward felt like his only option before spotting his opportunity downfield.
“I saw Cole (Kmet) one-on-one over there and understanding that 14 (Cobie Durant) was on him and he’s a little bit smaller guy,” Williams said. “I just wanted to give him my best shot.”

The loss closed the book on a successful second season for Williams, one that included becoming the Bears’ all-time single-season passing yards leader and capturing an NFC North title.
“It was awesome,” Williams said of the season. “One of my more fun years of being able to play football between the growth, the hard times, the good times. Just being able to be in the locker room with the guys that we had. I’m excited, I’m proud of our guys. I appreciate the city of Chicago. I appreciate the Chicago Bears.”
