This week is what sports are all about. When the Chicago Bears travel to take on the Green Bay Packers, there will be no love lost, just pure rivalry from the locker rooms to the nosebleeds.

Both teams this season have been great, but the Bears have been one of the biggest surprises in the whole league.

The Bears find themselves at 9-3, sitting at the top of the NFC with five games to go. Three of those games are coming against divisional opponents.

Chicago has risen above multiple injuries on the defensive side of the ball this season. They missed players like Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, Austin Booker, TJ Edwards, and Tremaine Edmunds.

Johnson and Gordon made their return last week in a statement win vs the Philadelphia Eagles, but since Week 12 against the Steelers, Chicago has been without essentially their entire starting LB unit.

The team released its injury report today, and it certainly had some storylines. One of the biggest of those is the defense getting some reinforcements.

TJ Edwards and Noah Sewell set to return vs Green Bay

When the Bears travel to Green Bay, they’ll be traveling with more of a cohesive defense than they’ve had in weeks. The Chicago Bears announced today that both LBs TJ Edwards and Noah Sewell will be a go for this Sunday.

TJ Edwards has only played five total games this season and has missed the last four due to hand and hamstring injuries. Last season Edwards racked up 129 tackles, four sacks, and an interception.

He is a leader on the defense and his reinsertion into the lineup will give some added juice to a defense and game that’s already overflowing.

Sewell, while not having a season worth writing home about has been a solid constant on the defense and it will be good to get him back as well. With how well D’Marco Jackson played over the last few weeks, it might not be a bad idea to keep mixing him in as well.

Even though Rome Odunze will be missing this game, with Kyle Monangai good to go and a more cohesive defense, this game should be one of the games of the week.
