The Chicago Bears are heading into Week 18 with a chance to clinch the number 2 seed in the NFC, and while Chicago is facing an eliminated Detroit Lions team, it won't be an easy matchup.

Fortunately, Caleb Williams will have Luther Burden III on the field after an injury scare in Week 17, and DJ Moore will be good to go as well. But what about Rome Odunze?

According to the Bears' injury report, Odunze was a limited participant and is questionable for Week 18. Regardless of whether he plays or not, this injury update is some good news for the Bears entering the playoffs.

Bears get good news on Rome Odunze

Odunze was a DNP for Wednesday and Thursday's practice. But on Friday, he was upgraded to a limited participant, leaving some hope for his chances to play in Week 18.

Even if he's out once again, and the Bears turn to the playoffs, this update is good news that Odunze could return to the field soon.

Dealing with a foot issue that's kept him out for a while, the second-year wide receiver has missed significant time, which also included a setback right before a game.

This injury has been a tough one for Odunze and the Bears, but fortunately, just in time for the playoffs, things seem to be trending in the right direction.

He's not officially back just yet, but this update is a good sign that Odunze has a chance to play in Week 18, and especially the playoffs.

Depending on their seed, the Bears will either be playing the Green Bay Packers or one of the Los Angeles Rams or San Francisco 49ers.

For now, the Packers are their most likely opponent, and getting Odunze back for that matchup to kick off the Bears' playoff run would be a big deal for Chicago and Ben Johnson's offense.
