Bears accomplish something hard-to-believe in three games vs. Packers this season image

The Chicago Bears beat the Green Bay Packers in a thriller to advance to the NFC Divisional round, and will now face the Los Angeles Rams for a chance to play in the NFC Championship.

Coming into that Bears-Packers matchup, there was a lot of hype based on their prior two matchups during the regular season that went down to the wire. This game rose to the occasion and was an incredible one for the Bears.

But as Josh Dubow of The Associated Press notes, this win from the Bears officially cemented a ridiculous statistic from the three Bears-Packers matchups this season that's hard to believe with the context of the Bears going 2-1 in these games.

Bears go 2-1 vs. Packers this season despite not having a lead on offense

"Offensive plays run with the lead in 3 Bears-Packers games this season: Packers 106, Bears 0. (Bears won 2 of the 3 games)." Dubow shared.

Beating the Packers isn't easy, even with Micah Parsons not on the field. And the Bears were able to win two of those games, both in comeback fashion, while never holding the lead.

More specifically, the Bears never ran a play on offense when they were leading against the Packers this season. And yet, they won two of their three matchups.

MoreCaleb Williams planted an image in Packers fans' heads that will haunt them all offseason

Beating a divisional opponent is tough enough, but the Bears did so twice while getting the game-winning score as a walk-off, or in the case of the Packers Wild Card game, by getting a stop on the final play of the game.

The Bears are moving on to the NFC's Divisional round to face the Rams, and hopefully, they'll be able to run a few plays while holding the lead.

While this hard-to-believe statistic is a fun one, it's not a sustainable model to win games. Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams, along with the defense, will need to fix this issue; otherwise, they might not be long for the playoffs.
