Where is Andy Dalton? How QB went from Bengals to Panthers image

The Carolina Panthers don't play on national television very often.

But on Monday Night Football in Week 12, that's exactly what's happening. They're taking on the San Francisco 49ers on ESPN.

That will put some bright red hair onto your television sets at some point.

Yep, that's Andy Dalton.

Where is Andy Dalton?

Dalton is now the backup quarterback for the Carolina Panthers.

He's QB2 behind the former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young.

Dalton played with the Bengals through the 2019 NFL season.

He went to the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 to be Dak Prescott's backup.

In 2021, he signed with the Chicago Bears, where he ended up behind Justin Fields.

He went to the New Orleans Saints in 2022 and started for much of the season over Jameis Winston.

Dalton joined the Panthers for 2023 and was beat out in training camp by Young. He's stayed with the Panthers since.

Dalton has started seven games for the Panthers (1-6 record) with 10 touchdown passes compared to seven interceptions.
