The Carolina Panthers threw us all a curveball on Sunday morning after the team added wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan to the injury report.

The Panthers revealed that McMillan is now questionable to play with an illness, and it appears the rookie's illness is something brand new, as he wasn't on the Panthers' injury report with it during the week.

After seeing Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker and Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez both get ruled out after being gameday additions to their team's injury reports on Thursday, it's safe to say we're concerned.

However, a report has since surfaced that offers a positive update on McMillan's status for Sunday.

Is Tetairoa McMillan playing today?

UPDATE: McMillan is officially ACTIVE for Week 17.

Yes, McMillan is still expected to suit up despite being added to the injury report and drawing a questionable tag.

"I am told McMillan should play today, that adding him to the report was a precaution," ESPN's David Newton reported.

We will still be keeping an eye on the Panthers' inactives to make sure McMillan is indeed playing. That list will drop around 11:30 a.m. ET.

As far as fantasy football is concerned, this changes nothing when it comes to our outlook on McMillan, who is a solid WR2 play in Week 17.

If McMillan doesn't suit up, fellow wideout Jalen Coker would get a boost and would be a stronger flex option.

Second-year wideout Xavier Legette would likely also see more action if McMillan sits, but he is the worst option and simply isn't reliable enough to trust in lineups.
