Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan passed a WR Carolina fans won't want to remember to break a franchise record image

Tetairoa McMillan has had a more prolific rookie season than any other wide receiver in Carolina Panthers history.

That became official on Saturday, when McMillan became the franchise's rookie record holder for receiving yards.

McMillan got up to 1,014 receiving yards in the 2025 season.

With that, he passed Kelvin Benjamin for most in franchise history.

Benjamin, of course, didn't maintain his early career status as he went on. He gained weight and regressed as a pass catcher.

The Panthers will be hoping that McMillan has a much better future than Benjamin ended up having.

He certainly looks promising. He can go up and catch just about everything, and he runs great, strong, firm routes.

The key for Carolina will be getting the right QB to go with Tet. Is Bryce Young the answer? Maybe, maybe not.

But if the Panthers can get that right, they've got a star wide receiver for years to come.
